Flotsam Friday: The Compass That Wasn’t

Today I found something in the sand that looked important.

Small. Round. Metal.
The kind of object that makes you think:
“Oooh… treasure.” 😏🏴‍☠️

For half a second, my brain was already writing a pirate movie.

But when I brushed it off, it turned out to be…
a busted keychain charm.

Not a compass.
Just a thing pretending to be one.

And honestly? That felt like a lesson.

🌊 Flotsam Wisdom

Sometimes life hands you something that looks like direction…
but it’s really just a reminder to create your own.

Because the shore doesn’t come with instructions.
It comes with signals.

And if you’re paying attention, even a fake compass can still point you somewhere:

Back to curiosity.
Back to wonder.
Back to “maybe today matters.”

Not everything that glitters is guidance… but it can still wake you up.

Flotsam question:
Ever picked something up thinking it was treasure, only to realize it was just… hilarious junk? 😂
