Flotsam Friday: Memorial Day Weekend Echoes

This is the time of year the shoreline changes gears.

You can feel it.

The air gets warmer.
The light lingers longer.
The beach starts bracing for its annual transformation:

Quiet… to crowded.
Empty… to alive.
Off-season… to full-season. 🌞🏖️

Today’s flotsam wasn’t one object.

It was a feeling.

That first hint of summer noise coming back:
coolers clunking
kids yelling
waves applauding
somebody’s radio playing a song you forgot you loved 😏🎶🌊

🌊 Flotsam Wisdom

The shore is a calendar you can stand inside.

It teaches you that everything returns:

the warmth
the people
the chaos
the joy

Even if winter felt endless, the tide always shifts.

And if you’re lucky, you get to be here when it does.
