🥓 Blanket Tug

(a.k.a. Towel Tug-of-Speed)
🥓 A high-energy race where players compete to unroll (or unfold) a beach towel or blanket as quickly as possible — using only one hand, their feet, or even just a tug line!

🧩 How to Play:

What You Need:

  • 1 beach towel (or light blanket) per player or team
  • A starting line (use a shell, stick, or beach toy to mark)
  • A finish line about 6–10 feet away, or just mark where the towel needs to fully unroll

🎮 Setup Options:

🏁 Solo Speed Run:
Each player races against the clock. Fastest time wins!

👯‍♀️ Head-to-Head Heat:
Two players start side by side and race to fully unroll their towel first. Best of 3 rounds.

🧠 Memory Match Twist:
Before the race starts, place a matching item at the far end of each towel (e.g. a toy crab, a shell). Players must not only unroll their towel — but identify their match at the end!

🔧 Rules + Variations:

  • Must start with towel rolled up tightly or folded neatly at the start line.
  • No touching the towel with your hands (feet or tug rope only!) — or reverse it: hands only, no feet!
  • Use different sizes of towels to make it harder.
  • For team play: players alternate unrolling relay-style with a baton.

🎉 Why It’s Fun:

  • Easy to set up anywhere (beach, backyard, even indoors!)
  • Hilarious to watch — people slip, flop, and yell “UNCURL!” like maniacs.
  • Great way to sneak in a little cardio, beach-style!
