Beach Tunes Tuesday: “Some Beach” – Blake Shelton (2004)

There’s something beautifully honest about this song.

“Some Beach” is basically a musical sigh – a reminder that even when life gets annoying (and it will), beach people always have a mental exit door. When the world is noisy – we go inside our mind and step onto the sand.

Traffic?
Dentist?
Rude people?
Chaos?

Beach lovers already know the trick:

If I can’t get to the beach right now… I’ll go in my mind.

And it works.

Because it’s not always about grabbing the keys and physically driving down the shore — sometimes all we need is a ten-second internal shift. A little breath. A little salt-air fantasy. A mental splash of warm Gulf water.

“Some Beach” is basically a three-minute reminder that we always have that option.

We don’t have to stay trapped in the irritation of a moment.

We can mentally walk out.

We can go to the beach…or the “happy place” of our choice.

Where is your mental beach?

When life gets prickly – where do you go in your imagination to soften the edges?

Tell us in the comments – because your “happy escape place” might give someone else a new one.
