Sea Isle City Personals

SEEKING:

Looking for someone who enjoys bike rides, beach walks, and saying:

“Let’s stay another hour…”

before accidentally staying until sunset.

MISSED CONNECTION:

You yelled:

“HEADS UP!”

I ducked.

A football passed over my head.

You laughed.

I laughed.

Then chaos resumed.

If that was you…

perhaps fate has good arm strength.

SEEKING:

Searching for beach companion willing to participate in casual football.

Definition of “casual” may vary significantly.

Please disclose previous quarterback experience.

ACTIVITY PARTNER WANTED:

Need someone for sunset walks and ice cream research.

Responsibilities include:

• flavor comparisons
• ocean appreciation
• pretending calories are fictional

MISSED CONNECTION:

You passed me on the Promenade riding a bike.

I was walking.

You smiled.

I smiled.

Then I immediately stepped sideways to avoid three children, two scooters, and a family wagon the size of a small apartment.

If that was you…

I regret nothing.

IT’S COMPLICATED:

Relationship status:

Emotionally attached to Sea Isle sunsets.

Also somewhat attached to beach football and ice cream.

Working through priorities.

ISO a fellow beach lover who knows that stepping foot on the Promenade (not boardwalk!) requires a strict 7:00 AM pace. If you can weave through tourists, dodge stray beach cruisers, and enjoy stopping for a morning brew, I’m your person. Let’s make the Sea Isle City Beach our daily track!

Seeking a partner in crime to conquer the local seafood scene. Let’s be honest: the fastest way to my heart is a table for two in Fish Alley. ISO someone to split a mountain of crab cakes and then go walk it off on the sand. Must love boat drinks and salty air.

Single and ready to mingle (and by mingle, I mean awkwardly dance in my folding chair to the Excursion Park summer concerts). ISO someone with a great sense of humor, the perfect beach blanket, and an appreciation for a fun pretend local romance.

ISO someone brave enough to jump into the freezing Atlantic. I need a daredevil who doesn’t mind a little February frost and can celebrate at the after-party. Let’s make “freezing our tails off” look good.

Seeking a partner for No-Shower Happy Hour.

I am a simple person. I love green tea shots, live acoustic covers of 90s songs, and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with hundreds of sweaty strangers at the Ocean Drive. If you do not mind waiting in line for 45 minutes just to hear “Mr. Brightside,” we are a perfect match.
Must-have: A high tolerance for loud crowds and a designated driver.

Looking for the pepperoni to my slice.

My ideal date starts at 2:00 AM on the Landis Avenue sidewalk. I am looking for someone who will not judge me for eating two massive slices of Phil’s Pizza in the middle of the night. Bonus points if you are willing to split a box of Yum Yum Donuts the next morning to cure the hangover.
Must-have: Cash on hand and a strong stomach.

Let’s get caught in a bike traffic jam.

Swipe right if you want to wake up early and cruise the Promenade before the bikes-only rule ends at noon. I am looking for someone to share a double surrey with, even though we both know I will end up doing all the pedaling.
Must-have: Excellent steering skills and patience for slow walkers.

I will sneak you onto the 43rd Street beach.

I have a collection of SIC beach tags dating back to 2012, but I always forget to bring this year’s tag with me. Seeking a look-out who can spot the badge checkers from 100 yards away so we can pretend to be asleep.
Must-have: A large beach umbrella to hide behind and extra sunscreen.

Seeking fellow millennial who misses the old SIC.

Let’s spend the evening complaining about how much the town has changed while waiting in the ice cream line at Scoop DeVille. I am looking for someone who remembers the Carousel, the old LaCosta, and when parking was actually free.
Must-have: A sense of nostalgia and a Wawa card.
