Sonnet Sunday: May Flowers at the Shore

May flowers rise like laughter from the ground,
the earth unbuttons winter, thread by thread,
and every petal feels like hope unbound,
like color waking where the cold once spread.

They bloom in dunes, in gardens, by the lane,
small flags of joy the sunlight comes to bless,
as if the world, once heavy with its pain,
remembers how to soften and to dress.

The Shore wears spring like perfume on the breeze,
a sweet rebellion drifting through the air,
and even seashells seem to shine with ease,
as if the season kissed them unaware.

So gather blossoms, let your spirit sing…
May doesn’t ask. It simply brings the spring. 🌸🌊☀️
